2. PHYSICAL SETUP & CONNECTIONS
- Place printer on flat, stable surface — leave clearance above to open cover fully.
- Connect power cable ➔ mains socket.
- Connect USB cable ➔ your Windows PC.
- Power ON — status light illuminates when ready.
3. DRIVER & SOFTWARE INSTALLATION
Driver
- Download driver & software from link provided with your order confirmation.
- Run installer — select the correct driver for your printer model.
- Go to Control Panel ➔ Devices and Printers
- Right‑click your printer ➔ Printing Preferences
- Media Type: Continuous
- Print Method: Thermal Transfer (critical — do NOT use Direct Thermal)
- Match label dimensions to your material size
Software
- Install label design application — follow setup wizard
- Design tools included: care symbols, text, logos, size codes
- Recommended: Install printer manufacturer's setup utility for calibration & diagnostics
4. LOAD RIBBON & LABEL MATERIAL
Ribbon Installation
- Open top cover.
- Place ribbon supply roll on the rear spindle.
- Thread ribbon under printhead — ink‑coated side facing down toward the label material.
- Attach ribbon leader strip to the take‑up core.
- Turn take‑up core by hand until ribbon is taut, flat, wrinkle‑free.
Satin Label Material
- Mount satin roll on the media spindle.
- Feed leading edge through side guides ➔ under printhead.
- Adjust side guides — touch edges lightly, do not pinch.
- Close cover ➔ press Feed button — one label advances smoothly.
5. DESIGN & TEST PRINT
- Create new label — dimensions = exact width × length of your material
- Keep all text, symbols & graphics 1.5–2 mm clear of all edges to avoid being cut off
- Recommended font size: minimum 6pt; sans‑serif fonts print clearest & last longest
- Ideal for: wash care instructions, fibre content, brand labels, size tags, composition labels
